Agent Orange is a Herbicide and a defoliant used in the Veitnam War to clear the vegititation so the U.S. troops can see the enemy troops and traps that are hidden by the plants. Agent Orange also has many, many horrendous side effects such as extra fingers and toes, cleft palate  and mental disabilities. It has made most of the areas sprayed by Agent Orange unlivable to plants and animals. A few hardy plants such as bamboo and cogan grass do live in these areas, meaning that forests may not be able to be reestablished
